Subject: The press conference on 25th July 2023 at 17:30h at City Stars Intercontinental Hotel, Nasr City, Cairo to kick-off the 2nd edition of EWWI Egypt Water, Waste & Infrastructure – THE BLUE ECONOMY ROUND, International Conference & Exhibition, 01st- 03rd October 2023, Egypt International Exhibition Center in the Fifth Settlement, Cairo, Egypt.
Under the auspices of HE Prof. Eng. Dr. Asem El-Gazzar - Minister of Housing, Utilities and New Urban Communities, the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater and its subsidiaries, and in cooperation with expotec international GmbH, the international exhibition and conference for water and wastewater technology, waste treatment and recycling EWWI Egypt Water, Waste & Infrastructure - THE BLUE ECONOMY ROUND will take place in the period from 1-3 October 2023 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in the Fifth Settlement, Cairo, Egypt.
This international exhibition & conference comes within the framework of the directives and vision of His Excellency the President of Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to achieve sustainable development Goals (SDGs) and to preserve the environment in line with Egypt’s vision 2030.
EWWI Egypt Water, Waste & Infrastructure Int. Exhibition & Conference is considered a vital platform for exchanging experiences and presenting the latest innovative technologies, but not limited to, for drinking water & wastewater treatment technologies, sludge & waste recycling, clean energy, and water desalination. Extensive European companies specialized in water & waste sectors will participate at EWWI 2023.
During this press conference, the Holding Company for Water & Wastewater (HCWW) will announce its strategic partnership with expotec International to conduct EWWI Egypt Water, Waste & Infrastructure 2023, Int. Exhibition & Conference to emphasize the importance of this event in the years to come. This strong partnership is actively supported by AUMA -Association of German Trade Fair Industry; BVMW – the German Mittelstand largest Federal Association of SMEs; GWP-German Water Partnership; GSTT- German Society for Trenchless Technology, VDMA – largest European Association for Machinery Construction; German RETech Partnership– Recycling & Waste Management Made in Germany.
Under the main patronage of the Ministry for Housing, Utilities and New Urban Communities from the Egyptian side this event is also supported by The Ministry for Environment, Ministry for Military Production, and the Arab Water Council (AWC).
Within the framework of the Africa Business Network and as one of the instruments for the promotion of foreign trade and with new package of measures to deliver targeted support to German businesses expanding into upcoming Egyptian market, German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action aims to motivate German private sector to invest in Egypt. More than 30 German companies within the German Pavilion Made in Germany and industry experts from Egypt and beyond will come together for three days and present first-hand new break-thru technologies and innovation driven new products in the fields of drinking water, sanitation, water desalination, sludge and solid waste recycling.
Prof. Dr. Rifaat Abdel Wahaab, Professor of Water & Wastewater Management, National Research Center, Consultant , Research & Development (R & D), Holding Company for Water & Wastewater (HCWW), Cairo & the Head of the Joint Egyptian-German Committee said: “The EWWI Egypt Water, Waste & Infrastructure 2023 Conference & Exhibition under the title THE BLUE ECONOMY ROUND will discuss over three days the modern technologies and systems innovative in the areas of improving water service and quality, the optimal method to reduce waste, discuss low-cost sanitation service-technologies, desalination industry, sludge & energy recovery, artificial intelligent(AIs), smart system and solid waste management.
